Isn't this little summer top just beautiful??? Its the Marisol top by Over the Moon on Hyenacart, and it has been made by a customer of mine in the "Jewlels" colourway.....

Download :)

This was The Husbeast and I after 2 hours of lugging all our stuff in the heat over at least 2 miles to get from the car park to where we eventually set up camp (ie. we found a tiny space in the sea of tents) Happy to be there, for sure, but oh my goodness there were moments.....

The endless walking was one thing that really wore us both out actually, being the old gits we are ;) We must have walked at least 20 miles over the weekend.....going to and from everywhere. Of course that pleased me, as I could drink more and not worry, as I knew I'd burn off the calories later ;)
Here is the sea of tents...there were 6 massive fields full of them......!!! It was funny, as you walked from where we were (the 'burbs) down through all the fields to the tents that had been there when it opened on the Wednesday, you really felt like you were in the ghetto. Srsly, the smell/litter/trashed stuff/strewn bodies ;)

At the end of all the fields of tents was the Village. An array of shops selling everything you could ever need/never need again or want, and a really good mix of eateries too. I found a little place called Tea' n Toast, who sold the most fantastic veggie food.....if you are going to Glastonbury, look out for the little yellow van :) Top Nosh.....and really nice peeps. They take your order down on a little piece of paper, and your name, and then when its ready you get called by name to come get your food. Its really nice, the whole personal service, made them a cut above the others, for me anyway :)

Ahhh........the Donington Crowd :) This is how I remember it from years back, an ocean of people......and me standing at the top of the hill, looking down onto the main stage. Only ever ventured into the mosh once...never again, too scary! Pictured is Limp Bizkit's set.....

Here is who the Husbeast made me get up to see on the Sunday, Tesla. We had the tent and all our stuff packed up and into the car by 11am (yes, 11 am on the Sunday of Donington....shameful eh? After being kept up most of the night by people on speed having food fights too, *tuts*) so we could get back to the Arena on time to see them. T'was worth it though, they were great, and the Husbeast was most satisfied :)
I didn't want to bore you guys with too many pics, but as you see in the last one, I have ditched the woolly hat for my Festie hat. It was so hot on the Sunday, and there was also no shade.

We both had the time of our lives, 'twas like being 18 again and newly together, good "us" time :) The ultimate highlight for me was Thunder (and I am sure Husbeast will agree) because they played "our song", Love Walked In This was the song we danced/headbanged to at our wedding reception, and the lyrics were just perfect for us at the time :) As we were watching them performing, the guitarist, Luke Morley, changed his guitar, and Husbeast turned round to me with the most perfect look on his face and said "They're gonna play it!"....... well....I roared, unashamedly roared. This is the last tour that they will ever play (alledgedly, but you know what rock bands are like...hehe) so we got to see them play our song, live, one last time.
Other highlights for me were The Prodigy....man, their energy was limitless......they played the perfect set.....they had everyone jumping about. It's the first time I've ever see them, and I'd go again in a heartbeat. It also goes without saying that Faith No More were on top form...like they'd never been away. Also, Pendulum, who I just went along to have a look at, just blew me away. Again, like the Prodigy, you could feel their energy and excitement at playing at Donington...it's legendary after all :)

Another picture of my uglee mug :)

Summer Knitty is up.....and WoollyWormhead has a fantastic sideways colourwork pattern in there, called "Urbanista"
And here is me, wearing the original hat....hahaha.....can I have a crazed fangirl moment??
*giggles*
I can't wait to knit it....it'll be my first stab at colourwork, and I can't think of a better way to start, because as you all know I am a bit of a hat nut.

*whsipers* you know it has got to the stage now where if I even look at a hat pattern by anyone else, I feel disloyal ;)

What a brilliant Ravelry Day :)

My lovely friend Livvy has lots of other pics of the stand, if you want to have a more detailed look, but this is it in all its glory!
It rained all day, only stopping when it was all done and dusted......but it didn't put anyone off!!! The day was a complete whirlwind of various delightful knitting and spinning peeps coming to have a squish and fill their bags with fluffy stuff, all the stall holders were so busy :D
I had such a fantastic day, met so many people I can't even begin to remember all of them, but you know who you are ;)
Thankyou to everyone who couldn't resist a purchase or two, and a very special amount of thanks to my bestest friends for being right there by my side.
I couldn't have done it without you .........muuahhh!!!

Thankyou to everyone who has posted messages of support over the last few weeks, it means alot to know you guys have faith in me.
The weather forecast is awful for tomorrow, but if I can get through that, I can survive anything!
